So I notice a lot of post on some of my favorite blogs and vlogs that involve something called a book haul. As far as I can tell, a book haul is when you get a large number of books at the same time, and then it is customary to share this haul with you book buddies. I do things a little differently when I buy books though. I love to buy online so I hardly ever get a lot of books in the mail at the same time. So while I do buy way too many books every month, I can't really post about my haul.  My solution to this very minor issue is to just share with you what I am most interested in reading right now instead of telling you every time I get a couple of books in the mail. Alright, enough yacking. Let's get to the books!

Secret Catch by Cassie Mae and Jessica Salyer

GR Button
Synopsis:
Tyler Koontz is Trojan gold all the way. There’s nowhere he loves to be more than on the football field.
Sam Nolan is Skyhawk red born and raised. With her mom's alcohol problem and her dad's recent death, she lives for her little brother who is a big football fanatic.
There’s one rule in this town...
Trojans and Skyhawks don’t date. EVER.
So when Tyler and Sam fall fast and hard for each other, what are they to do? Keep it a secret of course.
The problem is in a town this small, secrets don’t stay secret for long.
Why I'm excited to read it:
First of all, I am a HUGE Cassie Mae fan! I have loved her books ever since I read Reason's I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend. Her books are usually funny sweet, and romantic. And there is plenty of kissing and mushy stuff without too much or any sex. But based on the blurb I think I would want to read this book whether it was written by one of my favorite authors or not. I love a good star crossed lovers story and this one seems adorable.

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

GR Button
Synopsis:
In this stunning re-imagining of J. M. Barrie's beloved classic Peter Pan,New York Times bestselling author Jodi Lynn Anderson expertly weaves a gripping tale of love, loss, and adventure.
Before Peter Pan belonged to Wendy, he belonged to the girl with the crow feather in her hair… Tiger Lily. When fifteen-year-old Tiger Lily meets the alluring teenage Peter Pan deep in the forbidden woods of Neverland, the two form a bond that's impossible to break, but also impossible to hold on to. As the leader of the Lost Boys, the most fearsome of Neverland's inhabitants, Peter is an unthinkable match for Tiger Lily. However, when Wendy Darling, a girl who is everything Tiger Lily is not, arrives on the island, Tiger Lily discovers how far she is willing to go to keep Peter with her, and in Neverland.
Told from the perspective of tiny, fairy-sized Tinkerbell, Tiger Lily is the breathtaking story of budding romance, letting go and the pains of growing up.

Why I'm excited to read it:
I just got my copy of this book in the mail a few days ago. The cover and the name were the things that first drew me to this book. The cover is absolutely gorgeous and Tiger Lillies happen to be my favorite flowers. I know those are superficial reasons for being interested in a book, but that's how my mind works sometimes.  It does take more than a pretty cover and name to get me to buy a book though. (At least most of the time.) I got lucky with this book because not only are the cover and title beautiful, but the synopsis is very interesting as well. I love fairy tale re-tellings, and the idea of turning the story of Tinkerbell and Peter Pan into a love story is genius!

Jekel Loves Hyde by Beth Fantaskey
GR Button
Synopsis:
Jill Jekel has always obeyed her parents’ rules – especially the one about never opening the mysterious, old box in her father’s office. But when her dad is murdered, and her college savings disappear, she's tempted to peek inside, as the contents might be key to a lucrative chemistry scholarship.
To better her odds, Jill enlists the help of gorgeous, brooding Tristen Hyde, who has his own dark secrets locked away. As the team of Jekel and Hyde, they recreate experiments based on the classic novel, hoping not only to win a prize, but to save Tristen’s sanity. Maybe his life. But Jill’s accidental taste of a formula unleashes her darkest nature and compels her to risk everything – even Tristen’s love – just for the thrill of being… bad.
Why I'm excited to read it:
As I mentioned when talking about Tiger Lily, I am a fan of re-tellings. Whether it's fairy tales, fables, or just classic novels, I enjoy it when someone attempts to retell a story I am familiar with in a new and inventive way. This book caught my eye because I have always been intrigued by Dr. Jekel and Mr. Hyde. Obviously this book isn't trying to be a true re-telling of that story, but this book has the potential to be a very interesting romance about total opposites falling in love. I'll let you know what I think after I read it!
